Innovation & Investment in Healthcare: The Health ImpACT Virtual Kickoff

We’ve updated the format: the May 14 HealthInno NM event will now be held virtually.
This allows us to bring together a broader group of healthcare leaders and innovators from across the state.

New Mexico healthcare is building a new way to innovate—and you’re invited to help shape what comes next.

With state support, HealthInno—New Mexico’s health tech innovation studio and statewide health innovation network—is launching Health ImpACT: a healthcare-led initiative to build a first-of-its-kind health innovation pilot and learning network. It’s a coordinated way for healthcare organizations to explore and pilot startup technologies from New Mexico and beyond—and test partnership models that actually fit our state.

The virtual convening brings healthcare leaders into a shared space to explore startup technologies and partnership models in a more connected, accessible format.

About theInnovation & Investment in Healthcare

NM Health Tech Studio Launch

The virtual kickoff brings healthcare leaders into a shared space to explore startup technologies and partnership models in a more connected, accessible format.

This kickoff is the starting line for a more connected statewide effort—so teams can compare notes, reduce duplicated work, and build lasting innovation capacity without adding unnecessary lift. It also makes it easier for the right partners, talent, and mission-aligned investment to plug in and build here in New Mexico.

We’ll bring health system, clinic, payer, and community leaders together (plus a few guests) to dig into what strong, healthcare-led innovation looks like in practice:

  • How leading organizations structure pilots and partnerships—without turning into vendor roadshows.

  • How mission-aligned capital and public investment can support adoption and system-wide improvement—not just more point solutions.

  • What it takes to make impact stick across New Mexico—in rural and urban settings, with real workforce and resource constraints.

Healthcare is one of New Mexico’s strongest levers for a more innovative and equitable future. When we build a coordinated, healthcare-led way to explore new technology and partnership models, we strengthen care delivery, protect scarce resources, and support the workforce and companies that want to grow here.

We’ll close with what Health ImpACT will focus on first: the initial shared priorities, what participation looks like for healthcare teams, and 2–3 concrete next steps you can take back to your organization.

You’ll leave with a clear on-ramp into the HealthInno network—and the momentum New Mexico is building together.
